Mary Jane Mary Jane Mary Jane
All I ever want is you even with all the crazy things I do
Every breath I take I want to inhale your sweet perfume
You're perfection personified
Even through my pain I hear you calling my name
And I know my struggles haven't been in vain
I know I've strayed
But even all my cheating ways
Lead me straight to you
I swear it's true
You're the only girl I love
When I find myself going through hell
You lift me above
Peace descends like a dove

Meteor Shower
Meteor shower
Watch them bloom and flower
in the midnight hour
Silent still stars await their final curtain
Lighting up with jealousy of this I'm certain
Steal away the moons show
With envy luminescents glow
Oh the hailing power of a meteor shower
Watch them bloom and flower
in the midnight hour
Silent still stars await their final curtain
Lighting up with jealousy of this I'm certain
Steal away the moons show
With envy luminescents glow
Oh the hailing power of a meteor shower
Nature's Wrath
The balmy seas
deeping calm
the ruffling breeze
The man must stand
And wish on Neptune's jeweled crown
That he may not the tyranny face
For against natures wrath man cannot stand, on sea nor land
The mast, the compass, the rigging help not
What angry power strike
What rageful wind blows
from the eyes calm to the gale's rash unreasoning
in the wet season
What thought betrayed throughout the fray
A schooner of wood and glue
Oh the water!Over it Flew!
The die is casts!
The splintered mast!
Upon the rocks must crash !
Alas! All is lost!
And man in his arrogance
could thought to win
Now he must take to knee and to the heavens plea
All for naught
to be a god He sought
All for naught
Beyond the suns redding horizon all falls still
So Nature wills
No sign of man shall be seen again on these playful seas
Or those who dare to dream a dream
deeping calm
the ruffling breeze
The man must stand
And wish on Neptune's jeweled crown
That he may not the tyranny face
For against natures wrath man cannot stand, on sea nor land
The mast, the compass, the rigging help not
What angry power strike
What rageful wind blows

Blood Ties
Money is more important than blood ties
That's just another one of american lies
Everyone knows congressman don't care about laws that are unjust
Eyes focused on greed and lust
You're never truly alive
Long as you're a slave from 9 till 5
Fuck seeing red and bloodshed
Peace and love
Its the only way to defeat the powers above
Its understood why I'd rather live in the woods
Living free in a tent rather than pay the governments rent
Smoke the herb open your mind
And what do you find?
That you can defy societal lies
Educations the key for you and me
Speaking up will never stop the lies
Long as moneys more important than blood ties

The Poet's Sun
My work here is done
So must set the poet's sun
Tis true that glory fades
And what's mortal will soon pass
But the writer's work lives on through Gideons printed page

And what's mortal will soon pass
But the writer's work lives on through Gideons printed page

Poetry's Moon
Poetry's red moon has waxed
Brighten poets thought for eons
But now my moon is on the wane
How many phases it has entered
An uncountable as the grains of hope in our heart
But now a dark shadow has passed
Between the lunar planet and my pen
Eclipsing inspirations beam
Oh light, why do you refuse to shine on for me?
Brighten poets thought for eons
But now my moon is on the wane
How many phases it has entered
An uncountable as the grains of hope in our heart
But now a dark shadow has passed
Between the lunar planet and my pen
Eclipsing inspirations beam
Oh light, why do you refuse to shine on for me?
Poetry's Road
The dust of poetry's road
Thick upon my feet
Numerous mile posts reveal a journey of verse
Every traveler needs to rest
One last hill of weary thought
Then we come to an inn
Thick upon my feet

Every traveler needs to rest
One last hill of weary thought
Then we come to an inn
