Life

The sea flows
The wind blows
The grass sways
The monk prays
The musician sound his horn
The squirrel gathers acorns
The rooster guards his flock
The artist dons his smock
The ant gathers
My mom watches Dan Rathers
The wise solemly meditates
The writer painstakingly creates
The acrobat practices tumbles
Mouse and Pippa do the jumble
Is it fate?
Or maybe life is just great

One in Three

One in three queer youth attempt suicide I've been told
Living in a world
Different is wrong
The bitter taste of bigotry in their mouth
Day in, and day out
Societys accusing finger points
You're corrupting 'Americas Family Values'
But I say blame is a shame game
and shame is a lit cigarette dropped in your lap
And not much use to us
Judgements no good either
How about listening?
One in three queer youth attempt suicide, you know
