Summer dog days

Spring is born madly in each robins rouge breast
And every crow drunk on thievery's success
Corn not yet shucked lies still in husk bed
Squealing hogs await being fed
Cloven hoofs earth a-tramp
The sun a shining lamp
Summer dog days
Twitching tails keep flies at bay
As farmer put bandanna to brow
Calf stands in shade of mother cow

Mouse, that's fantastic. I have one question, though - why did you include the robin? I can't figure it out. I hope you reply, I'd love to hear.

Best,
Dawn

the question is not why? but why not?
If one asks themselves that you find you miss out on a lot less in life.

ps. did you know that the beloved american robin has more disease and parasites than the 'garabage bird' crow. Crow are way smarter too.
